Talking Leather with @Brodie7571 | 04

Welcome to this episode featuring Brody (@brodie7571). If you want to understand how personal expression, gear, and submission intersect in real life, this conversation gives you an honest look inside the community.

For a long time, society taught people to feel embarrassed or nervous about their sexual interests. Brody offers a different way forward. He demonstrates how fully embracing leather, latex, and chastity helps you live authentically, even when you face isolation or fear of judgment. You will hear how Brody discovered his interests, how he navigates living locked 24/7, and why finding your community online can build confidence, connection, and self-acceptance.

Key Points

  • The journey into gear: Discovery often starts small. Brody’s initial interest began in his early teens with simple dental rubber gloves before evolving into a dedication to full leather and latex gear.

  • Sensory expression and presence: Wearing gear involves a complete sensory experience. The smell, sound, and tight fit keep you in constant contact with your erotic self, bringing a distinct confidence and energy into your daily life.

  • Navigating shame and isolation: Growing up without a local physical community often creates a double layer of fear around being gay and holding unique kinks. Finding an online community on platforms like Recon and Instagram helps normalize these feelings and replaces shame with belonging.

  • The submissive head space: Aesthetic appearances do not always dictate dynamic roles. Despite presenting a masculine, bearded appearance that people often mistake for a dominant profile, Brody embraces a submissive role and uses the pronouns he/him/it when deep in that head space.

  • Living locked 24/7: Chastity acts as a constant physical reminder of identity and submissive commitment. Brody has stayed locked since August 2021, removing the cage briefly each day purely for personal hygiene and maintenance.

  • Relationships and boundaries: You do not need a kinky partner to explore your interests, but you do need mutual respect. A healthy relationship requires a partner who accepts your identity without demanding you suppress your core self.

  • Mentorship and accessibility: Building a gear collection takes time, patience, and money. Brody advises newcomers to start small, look for second-hand items on eBay, and avoid the elitism or status symbols often tied to expensive brand names.

Sergio Rebelo (00:00) Okay, so welcome back to The Erotic Life Podcast. Hello, Brody. How are you?

Brody (00:03) Thank you. How are you?

Sergio Rebelo (00:04) Good. Yeah, I'm good. I'm very good. It's a bit late in London and you're, of course, in Australia, so it's a bit of a big time difference.

Brody (00:10) Massive, massive. It's, um, yeah, 9:30 here, so.

Sergio Rebelo (00:15) Yeah, that's right. So, what I I wrote some things, I'm going to read it and tell a bit of an introduction to yourself. So, here we go.

So, today I do welcome Brody to the show. Brody has a few socials, but his Instagram handle is @brodie7571, in case listeners want to go and see what an incredible profile this is. What strikes me about Brody is his dedication to his kink. So often people can be quite nervous, ashamed, embarrassed about what they're into or what they like, but you, Brody, you're definitely a person who seems to embrace it wholeheartedly. It really comes out in your profile.

Your Instagram is populated with leather and Lycra images of yourself, and you can see that there's a lot of hard work and time that goes into these to ensure you are upholding integrity that such an aesthetic demands. You don't dishonour it, if you see what I mean. Leather is your core interest, and you are loyal to making a space where it can be best encountered. It's not just the material you're concerned with; the pose, the postures, the angles. It's almost as if in some way you're listening to the material and embodying what it needs, if that makes sense, like a reversal. So, it kind of allows you allow it to speak through you.

But it doesn't stop there. You describe yourself as an artist on your Instagram, which I'm very interested in looking at more. You advertise as well that you're 24/7 locked, and you're part of the pup community, and that your pronouns are he/him/it. So, that's interesting as well. And that you're a gear dad joker. But above all else, and I mean that literally because your name is above the top, you are Brody. So, definitely welcome to The Erotic Life Podcast. Thank you for being here.

Brody (01:59) No, thank you for having me.

Sergio Rebelo (02:02) Yeah, fantastic. So, I think one question I'll ask, just to kind of like start, is how long does it take to put on this this outfit?

Brody (02:12) Ooh, depends. Could be anywhere from like half an hour to like 10 minutes. It depends like if I put like all the accessories on as well, and like clips and buckles and what.

Sergio Rebelo (02:27) Quite, yeah, takes quite a while. Yeah, yeah.

Brody (02:29) Oh yeah, but yeah, especially latex, it can take a while.

Sergio Rebelo (02:32) Are you at a stage where you know it so well that you can just be like done, done, done?

Brody (02:37) Oh, yes. Oh, yes.

Sergio Rebelo (02:39) They should do like a competition where people get changed, and you kind of like time how quick they can get changed.

Brody (02:44) Oh, yeah, definitely.

Sergio Rebelo (02:46) It'd be quite interesting to watch. So, let's get to know you a bit more because I'm very curious. You have an incredible Instagram profile, and I did see 'artist' there. I know that we have to kind of select a category, sometimes it doesn't fit. But this is artistic to me, at least for me. It really has that artistic elevated level of leather, which you manage to bring out in many of your shots. And they can be slightly erotic and almost border the porn side, but it's saved from that, I think, because the amount of dedication and focus you give it. Is that how how would you describe that?

Brody (03:22) Yeah, I think when I was deciding on like which which category to go with, I think artist kind of fit best. Like, I mean, to be real, like I don't often think of myself as an artist, but then, you know, I guess it is kind of artistic, what we're doing with like photos and videos and whatnot. So, I think it does fit, without tooting my own horn.

Sergio Rebelo (03:41) Yeah, I get that. In profiles that I've created, I also kind of struggle to find the category. But there is definitely something artistic. I mean, you can have, there's the you have the three that are, um, pinned at the top, and your first one, you can definitely see in a in a magazine of high art in some sense, I think. There's something very beautiful about it, beautiful.

Brody (04:02) Thank you.

Sergio Rebelo (04:03) Yeah, I don't think you even need to appreciate or know much about the leather scene, but this is a type of material that you definitely connect with. So what, yeah, I'm thinking like, for you, what is it about leather that brings you to it? Sometimes it's mysterious, sometimes people have a clear idea about it.

Brody (04:18) Um, I guess for me, it's I guess it's such a like a like a visceral experience. Like, you know, you have like the look, the feel, the like the sound, the smell. You know, when I first got into kink, it was I was Yeah, it was leather that drew me, that drew me to it. And it's just amazing. Just love it.

Sergio Rebelo (04:42) And you're so right, like there's many different sensory experiences we get. It is the smell, but then a particular sound, and as you move you hear it, but that is a classic cue of excitement, and that's leather, you know, it's unavoidable.

Brody (04:57) Absolutely, yes.

Sergio Rebelo (04:58) The texture as well goes a long way, I mean, that's one of the biggest things. The colour, the feel of it on your body. I know Lycra is something which is very skin-centred, you know, the way it moves and shifts on your body and skin. But is that experience with you in leather as well, or does it have a clear distinction?

Brody (05:22) There's I guess the difference between latex and leather is like they're both very similar in the way that it's a very like visceral, sensory experience wearing wearing the gear. Whereas rubber I find is more like of a wet kind of experience, because it's very like, you know, it's very shiny, it's very like, you sweat. Whereas leather is more of like a dry, tactical...

Sergio Rebelo (05:51) Fair enough, yeah, a different feel. I know people in London in some of like the kink scenes that I go to, they have to wear the Lycra to the scenes and there is that sweat that starts to happen, which is part of the appeal for most, at least part of the appeal of the actual experience itself.

The looks of your when you go to take photos, I imagine that you've been asked by people to take photos as well? Like, is it all you or have people actually come to you and asked, "Can we take a photo of you?" or "Can we have you on our website?" or something like that, or is it all you that does this? Because it's quite a professional angle here.

Brody (06:33) Believe it or not, it is all just me.

Sergio Rebelo (06:35) Oh, wow, yeah.

Brody (06:38) Yeah, I have had like websites ask if they can use my photos, but it's photos that I've taken for me that they've gone, "Hey, can we use this?" I'm like, "Oh, sure!"

Sergio Rebelo (06:48) Because there's you embody certain poses as well. You seem to manage to capture the energy of the leather. I'm looking at some particularly ones where you're like you kind of like this, and I don't know, there's like a I like to think of archetypes, but there's like an energy that you embody with this that comes across as well. Do you feel different when you're in uniform than when you're out of uniform?

Brody (07:11) Absolutely. Absolutely, like I just I feel sexy, I feel confident, I feel yeah, I just feel amazing.

Sergio Rebelo (07:22) Powerful, I think people as well experience, like a lot of power.

Brody (07:24) Yes.

Sergio Rebelo (07:25) Yeah. And is that something that you can take into your everyday, like when you're out of uniform? Can you kind of take these qualities with you?

Brody (07:33) Yes, definitely. Yeah, definitely, especially like, you know, after I've just gone out of leather, I can still smell it on me. And then I go out and about and stuff, yes.

Sergio Rebelo (07:44) I'm curious to see how much is it integrated, excuse me, integrated into your life. So, do your family, are they aware? Do they understand it or are they just aware? Friends?

Brody (07:54) My family doesn't actually know, as far as I'm aware. Yeah, they don't know. It's not something I don't think it's something that they would I think they'd understand the kink side of it, I don't but I don't think they would understand like the Instagram and the sharing, like putting yourself out there side of it. That's something they wouldn't understand. So, I don't, yeah, I don't think any of them actually know. They can probably guess that I'm up to things when I'm home alone, but they either don't know what or they don't know the questions to ask, or yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (08:26) Because, I mean, you've got quite a large following, so you know the community looks at you and sees you. So, they don't know much about your Instagram page? Wow, I'm impressed. Yeah, it's quite big. But I'm wondering, like, how does that does that affect you at all? Like, does it would you want them to know? Does it matter if they do, or...?

Brody (08:47) I mean, I don't think it really matters if they do. Like, if if they were to ask me about it, then I'd, yeah, I'd be honest and tell them. But, yeah, it's just something that's never come up. I've never felt the need to tell them.

Sergio Rebelo (08:58) Yeah, fair enough.

Brody (09:00) Yeah, I mean, I know it's different for everyone, like some people do need to or, yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (09:04) A lot of the time, many people that I see in my clinical work are quite afraid to bring it to family and friends, and especially in relationships as well. So, it's a shared it's a shared experience. And I'm wondering, in terms of like relationships, is it something that you would bring up in a relationship? Is it something that you need in relationships? Do you think, "No, I don't really need this side of me to be known," or...?

Brody (09:21) I think it kind of in like terms of relationships, as long as I bring it up with my partner, but I think it wouldn't matter if they were kinky themselves, if they had an interest in leather or latex like themselves, as long as I was able as long as they didn't try and stop me from like trying to still explore it.

Sergio Rebelo (09:41) Yeah, I know what you mean, yeah.

Brody (09:42) Yeah, so it wouldn't matter if they were kinky or not, but as long as they're like, you know, willing to understand at least, or willing to accept that part of me.

Sergio Rebelo (09:49) Because people have quite some particular kinks. I mean, leather is not the most obtuse kink there is, it's actually quite common. But people have can have very specific needs or interests, and it's hard to find a partner that can meet that. So, you know, from what I'm hearing you're saying is like as long as they're not closed off to it and repulsed by it and want to shut it down, that's that's okay.

Brody (10:19) Yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (10:20) Okay, yeah. Because it's, I mean, this is clearly a very important side of your part of you that has to have an expression. It's very present.

Brody (10:30) Oh, absolutely. Absolutely.

Sergio Rebelo (10:32) Do you How often do you engage in community, or do you engage in the leather itself? Do you wear it around the house or do you wear it only at events, or...?

Brody (10:41) So, I actually haven't been able to get to an event yet. It's just because of where I live. It's very far away from like like any like kind of because where I live is not is not kinky at all, unfortunately. I do have some like kinky friends like around, but we just haven't gotten a chance to meet up as often as I'd like.

Sergio Rebelo (10:59) And that's why Instagram is big, because you, I'm assuming, manage to find a community there.

Brody (11:06) Absolutely. Absolutely.

Sergio Rebelo (11:08) I think you even know a person who might be on the show as well at a certain time, Lewis, I think it is.

Brody (11:13) Yes, love Lewis. He's amazing.

Sergio Rebelo (11:15) Yeah, yeah. He's I I know him as well, not too well, but I saw a photo of you and him and I thought, yeah, that's exact because he he is like the the British equivalent, you can say. He's very popular in the British scene.

Brody (11:26) Yes.

Sergio Rebelo (11:27) So, that's interesting, yeah. The fact that you haven't managed to find I mean, it's not a surprise because you live in quite a rural part of Australia, and to find community there would be very difficult. So, well done for maintaining what you're interested in, and then creating the community yourself. But not only that, I think people being interested in you, like there's a lot of you get a lot of attention.

Brody (11:51) Yeah, it it does kind of surprise me, because I think I don't think of myself as anything to be good, or to be grand, or to be great. You know, I'm just me. So, getting as much attention as I have has been, yeah, it's been wild.

Sergio Rebelo (12:04) Yeah, I can definitely imagine that, absolutely, yeah, absolutely. So, leather is one thing, and then there's Lycra, and then I'm assuming chastity.

Brody (12:15) Yes.

Sergio Rebelo (12:16) Yeah. So, chastity, I mean, is let's say is there like a hierarchy? Is there one that was like your first core interest?

Brody (12:23) My first core interest was leather, and then after a while I got into into latex. And then a while after that, long while after that, was chastity.

Sergio Rebelo (12:35) Okay, I want to kind of slow down. So, leather is your first thing, and then Lycra, because chastity is a particular type of psychological kink which is, and if you're locked, I'm going to then assume there's a submissive side or a submissive part that you hold.

Brody (12:51) Oh, absolutely. Absolutely.

Sergio Rebelo (12:53) So, that's literal, yeah. Okay. So, are you can you say more about how this submissive part of you expresses itself, or how does it come out? Like, how how did you get into a 24/7 locked commitment?

Brody (13:07) Ah, well, it's I wanted to try, I wanted to experience chastity, but then I could never find a cage that was right for me. Like, I had a metal cage that I could only wear for like three days and that was pushing it. And then there were other ones that just broke on me, that was fun. And then I found my correct cage, like the cage I'm in now, and it was just amazing. Just loved it.

Sergio Rebelo (13:24) What do you like about it?

Brody (13:25) Oh, it's like wearing kink with me 24/7. Like, I can like, well, I can go down to the shops and or go to work or, you know, wherever else, and I've got the chastity cage on. And it's just amazing. Just love it.

Sergio Rebelo (13:36) Constant reminder that you're that you have an identity, a part of your identity, that you're in contact with it. Yeah.

Brody (13:42) Yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (13:43) Is this something that your partner is in on? Is it self-imposed? Is he giving it to you, or...?

Brody (13:51) Oh, I'm single. So, I'm not Um, yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (13:54) Okay, I assumed you were with someone, haha.

Brody (13:56) No, that's alright. Um, no, it's yeah, it's What was I going to say? Um, it's something that, you know, I decided to try for myself. And then I got like I have friends who are who keep me accountable, like in group chats and whatnot. Yeah, it's just good. It's just it keeps, I guess it keeps me in that submissive kind of head space almost 24/7.

Sergio Rebelo (14:17) How long have you been locked for?

Brody (14:18) Since August 1st, 2024. So, a year and a half.

Sergio Rebelo (14:24) Year and a half. Yeah, yeah. That's a long time. And is it permanently locked 24/7, oh you said 24/7, so, yeah.

Brody (14:30) Yeah, I mean, look, I always do take it off, shower and shave and whatnot, like, you know, keep it all healthy. I don't want an infection down there. But, yeah, I do take it off at least once a day just to have a shit, have a clean, everything.

Sergio Rebelo (14:41) There's a hygiene element, yeah, I understand that as well.

Brody (14:44) Yes, definitely, yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (14:45) And this is coming from a submissive part of yourself as well, so has that submissive part been something which you've recently explored or something which you've felt has been a constant within your your life, I guess you can say?

Brody (14:59) It's always been a constant. Always been a constant. Like, I like to say like I dress Dom, I dress like in like a more Dom thing, but I am more subby.

Sergio Rebelo (15:08) That, and that can be difficult for submissives, because when they do, and your aesthetic, you know, I look at your page, your aesthetic, and this is generalising and stereotyping, but you have that masculine, bearded look, dark features, that will always position initially a dominant profile.

Brody (15:23) Hmm, absolutely.

Sergio Rebelo (15:24) So, it can be hard. So, that submissive part of yourself, for you, because you have that profile, pronoun 'it', does it come into that object? Because there's a there's a certain hierarchy, there's like object, slave, sub, you know, there's all these kind of different offshoots. 'It', is that specific for some reason?

Brody (15:43) I think like when I get deep into like that subby locked head space, it I kind of am 'it'. So that's why I kind of put it on there, because I was like, you know, that's something I can identify with.

Sergio Rebelo (15:53) And then do you feel, I mean, people all have their own particular brand of submissiveness. Does this become, because when I think of 'it', I think of an object. But people can be like more domestic-orientated, more impact-orientated, more servant, devotional. But is 'it' more precluded to object?

Brody (16:11) Oh, yes. Yeah, like when I get deep into the how do you say, the subby head space, yeah, the just object, yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (16:19) So, maybe we kind of go back in time a bit and think about where it all kind of began. So, you're growing up, and then at what age do you start to realize that you're interested in leather, if that's your first particularity?

Brody (16:32) Well, my first particularity was actually those white rubber gloves, you know, the ones that dentists wear?

Sergio Rebelo (16:38) Yeah.

Brody (16:39) It was actually them.

Sergio Rebelo (16:40) Wow.

Brody (16:41) Yeah. Yeah, that was, yeah, that was um big when I was young, and then it kind of grew when I saw I was looking at like porn and I saw like porn with like leather men, and I was like, "Oh, oh, so you're part of..."

Sergio Rebelo (16:58) Yeah, how, yeah. Was that how you Or how did you discover the white gloves? Where did that come from? Was that in the pornography or was that in like dentist had that, or...?

Brody (17:07) Yeah, like the dentist wore it, I had them. And then I think one day I actually stole some, let's just say I just took some of the rubber gloves after the appointment, and yeah, that was had some fun with them.

Sergio Rebelo (17:19) Do you remember how old you were?

Brody (17:21) Oh, I believe about 14, 15 at the time.

Sergio Rebelo (17:23) And was it, I mean, they have a very particular smell, those gloves, that I remember at least, and a very particular texture, you know, like that Is that what drew you to it? Like, do you know what was like, what made you curious about this?

Brody (17:34) Yeah, I think it was like just the whole tightness, it's just how tight and how the smell, the sound even, like when, you know, they just move their hands. It was just a whole it was a lot of things, and it just culminated.

Sergio Rebelo (17:46) It's an interesting thread that continues across to even now where it's the smell of leather. I know this is a different material then, but the smell of leather, the sound, like that is all very closely linked in terms of this arousal.

Brody (17:59) Absolutely, it is.

Sergio Rebelo (18:01) And then it jumps from it doesn't jump, but it grows into this leather look, which you catch on pornography in your mid-teens.

Brody (18:10) Yeah, yeah, it grew from that. And then, I think yeah, I had I I wanted I really wanted my own like leather uniform, so I ended up just building it up from going online like eBay or um Gumtree, or looking at shopfronts. It was a very very slow build, but I have eventually built that look, apart from the hat, didn't have the hat. But, yeah, it took a while, but it got there.

Sergio Rebelo (18:31) It's an expensive an expensive kink.

Brody (18:33) Oh, absolutely. Absolutely, it is.

Sergio Rebelo (18:35) For teenagers as well, to like try and gather all the...

Brody (18:38) I think I was I started it when I was like I think I started growing it when I was like 18, and then I got the I got the actual outfit all together by the time I was like 22.

Sergio Rebelo (18:47) Wow, wow, that's a yeah, that's quite a while. Where people can be like interested in socks or trainers or shoes, and that's like a one purchase £100, whatever it is. Did you feel it was strange or odd or embarrassed when you started to realize what you were interested in?

Brody (19:02) I definitely had moments where I wished I was normal, like I guess like everyone does. There was definitely an element of embarrassment of like hiding it, of "I don't want to tell anyone in case like, you know, they laugh or make..." Oh, you know. And then I realized later on there is a market for this, there is a community for this, even though like I was oh, obviously very closed off from the community from like the physical community, because I don't like live in the city and don't live close by to it. But, yeah, there definitely was like an element of embarrassment early on.

Sergio Rebelo (19:33) Around your sexuality as well? Like being gay, was that difficult as well, or...?

Brody (19:37) Oh, absolutely. I fought that all the way as a teenager, fought that all the way. Yeah, I mean, obviously I embrace it now, and, you know, everything's all good, but, um, yeah, I fought it for a long time as a teenager.

Sergio Rebelo (19:48) So, to have the sexuality that's different, alongside a sexual interest that's not highly advertised and spoken about, that's like a double layer of "This is not good, like this is not normal." It entrenches that shame, which a lot of people who are interested in kink have.

Brody (20:04) Absolutely, it was. I mean, look, it's I've embraced it now, and, you know, everything's all good now, but back then, yeah, no, it wasn't it wasn't a fun time to be Brody.

Sergio Rebelo (20:13) Was there any part of you that also started recognizing the submissive side, or was that something which came at a later age?

Brody (20:18) That kind of came the submissive side kind of came about I think like when I like first met like kinky people and like, you know, first started to play with kinky people, and that submissive side was kind of just there. And I was like, "Oh, okay, cool." I also think that kind of went from being being young and inexperienced, and then kind of letting them take the take the role. But then also like I just found that I just loved being submissive, I loved the whole role, and, yeah, yeah, it was good.

Sergio Rebelo (20:41) So, like there's these stages of coming on to understanding your sexuality and your kinks, and then you don't have community at this time, but then you do discover people who are like-minded. When was that? Like, what age?

Brody (20:53) I think I was a bit older, so about 18, and then like I I don't know I think I was looking at porn, and then it came up with like ads for Recon.

Sergio Rebelo (21:03) Ah, yeah.

Brody (21:04) Yeah, and then so I decided to give that a go, have a look, and I realized actually, you know, there's a lot. Yeah, a lot of people with different kinks, yeah. Probably not the best place for like 18-year-old, not exactly mature me to be on, but...

Sergio Rebelo (21:16) That's where you'll find it, to be honest, yeah.

Brody (21:18) Yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (21:19) But you're right, I mean, there is so limited spaces for kinky people, and Recon is one of the ones that have always been there at the forefront to invite people in, you know, that kind of community. And then I imagine that a lot of your interactions are then online and digital, given your location.

Brody (21:35) Yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (21:35) Did you create quite good connections through that?

Brody (21:38) Oh, yes. Yeah, I'll definitely have friends that I've made from that period of my life that I still have now, which is awesome. Yeah, I think that was just a period of like of learning and growing, and I guess honing, that's the right word to use?

Sergio Rebelo (21:52) Yeah, yeah.

Brody (21:53) Like, just learning how to be in that community.

Sergio Rebelo (21:56) There's a lot of mentorship in the leather community traditionally, at least. A lot of mentorship and guidance. Is that what you kind of received in your own process?

Brody (22:04) Oh, yes, I found I found that like with with leather and rubber, and, yeah, it was it was good. Overall, a good experience.

Sergio Rebelo (22:11) How long would you say it took you to feel quite uncomfortable quite comfortable and okay with this part of you, the leather interest or the, yeah...?

Brody (22:24) I think, oh, it was early 20s, I think, by the time I realized that there is a community, and, you know, you know, you can find like those community, that friendship, that brotherhood in the leather community, and in the kink community as a whole, before I finally realized like, "You know, this is okay. You're not abnormal, you're not a freak."

Sergio Rebelo (22:39) Yeah, yeah.

Brody (22:40) Yeah, "This is okay, this is a normal thing to be."

Sergio Rebelo (22:42) So it took it took quite a few years, from like 18 to mid mid-20s, yeah. And there were some key figures that helped to be there, I think just be there, to bounce...

Brody (22:50) Absolutely.

Sergio Rebelo (22:51) Yeah, yeah. And then when did you decide to start a social media profile?

Brody (22:56) I think I made an Instagram account just on a whim, and I hadn't actually posted anything kinky at the time when I first made it. Um, but then I started following more kinky people, and I thought, you know, I've got at the time I only had a limited amount of gear anyway, but I thought like, you know, people might enjoy it. Yeah, and then and then at the time also I was very I guess paranoid about people from work and people like, you know, in my every in my like day-to-day life seeing it. But then I guess like the more I did it, the the more relaxed I got, the more, yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (23:32) It's such a fear, this, of like "I want to show who I am and bring out my authentic self in this, in this leather, yet people from work might see, family might find out, the friends that I created from a long time ago who don't know this, they might find out." It's such a again with this fear "what if, what if, what if?" But then you've yet to you created it, and, um, yeah, you've really put a lot of effort into it, haha. Were there any kind of like particularly difficult moments in the in creating this or any kind of negative feedback or responses about what you're interested in?

Brody (24:06) I mean, I haven't really had much bad feedback as such. Uh, no. I think the only really bad feedback I've gotten was like to my appearance. Like there was one time when I shaved and then I got in gear and I posted a photo of me like, you know, baby face in gear, and someone said I think, yeah, there was a few nasty comments. But, you know, it wasn't anything I haven't really had a bad experience on Instagram or on any of the social media sites, really.

Sergio Rebelo (24:33) And I'm wondering like how open are you when you meet people, friends or potential, like dates, subvertly, if that's what you you do, but like friends at least, or new people? How open are you about this side of you?

Brody (24:45) I think if they were to bring I think I don't really talk about it like as an opening, like, you know, if they bring up kinks or whatever, I'd be like, "Oh, yes! Have a look," haha.

Sergio Rebelo (24:55) "Me too!" haha.

Brody (24:56) "Me too!" Yeah, haha.

Sergio Rebelo (24:58) Yeah, is it going to like, I mean, people on dating apps like Grindr, etc., they would put into kink on their profile. Is that something that you do yourself?

Brody (25:07) Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And then I find like I get a lot of messages just about the kink and everything as well, um, which isn't bad at all. But then I have had like a few people not being interested just because of the cage, as well, because that kind of scares them off, and it's like "Oh, well, it's not scary." At least to me it isn't, anyway.

Sergio Rebelo (25:27) Yeah, is that something that you would stop doing if you met someone that you were interested in, or do you think it's just not the right match if they're not interested in it at all?

Brody (25:35) Ah, the way I always I've thought about the chastity thing is that once I stop enjoying it, I'll take it off. And like, you know, if I meet with someone and the chemistry's right, and, yeah, I can I'm open to taking it off for that. But then like, you know, if they if we meet up and they demand I take it off, then it's like, "No."

Sergio Rebelo (25:48) Yeah, it's not very sustainable if people demand certain things, you know, "You need to stop." That was that's not a match, then.

Brody (25:56) No, absolutely not.

Sergio Rebelo (25:57) Now, you've been you've entered into this with community, and you've gotten a lot of help from certain people. Do you help then mentor or just sounding board for people who are starting their own journey or anything like that?

Brody (26:08) Yeah, I've had people message me about like starting with, you know, with different with different kinks, and, um, like different like, you know, materials, and like how best to, you know, look after it, or how to like, you know, style it, which I'm like, "Well, you want me? Okay." Um, but, yeah, I guess I have helped people. No, I have I have managed to help people like be that mentor type thing in a way, which is a good like, you know, 360 kind of moment.

Sergio Rebelo (26:29) I mean, it keeps that tradition of helping, you know, teaching the community in itself. So, it's quite like, yeah, this I hear that there's been a bit of a struggle at the start bringing these parts into you, but then certain points, the right people as well, in the right places, that it's managed to be brought in. And how has it shifted from a person who never really who struggled to bring it in, to now you've fully embraced it? Like, what's it done to you as a person?

Brody (26:50) I think it it's helped me to run with be a lot more relaxed, not more not so like, you know, paranoid. It's it's also it's helped me just into just enjoy the gear, which has been just really nice. It's just it's just good, like, you know, just be able to, yeah, enjoy it.

Sergio Rebelo (27:03) Yeah, yeah, absolutely. And I think the fact that it is so tight against your skin, both, um, the rubber, the Lycra, and the leather, and also with the chastity, you're in constant contact with this erotic part of yourself. Like, it's not something that you bring into the bedroom at a certain time, it's not something that you keep privately hidden. If you're wearing the chastity, if you're wearing the leather, then your erotic self is present all the time. And there's a certain energy that brings, I think people tend to find. A certain energy which they bring into their everyday, they bring into their character, their posture. And I think that that's what from what I can see from you in your profile, that's what happens, is a certain energy that's been brought out because you're in constant contact with these erotic parts of you.

Brody (27:38) Hmm, oh, absolutely.

Sergio Rebelo (27:39) Would you give advice to anyone going through this journey now, that's 18 and logging onto a website? Like, would you give any advice to younger ones?

Brody (27:46) I think, ah, go slow. Don't try and rush into anything. You know, it's easy to look into all the big brands and big brand names, but it's also just as good and just as sexy to find something second hand, be like eBay or Facebook Marketplace or, you know, whatever.

Sergio Rebelo (28:03) Yeah, because I think, um, from what I know in the leather community, is there is there the brands you buy is also a status symbol?

Brody (28:09) I think so, but then, for me, like, most of my leather is from, uh, Pick & Span Store. Well, yeah, most of it is, but then I do find that some people, it can be dangerous as well, like with that mindset. Like, it's kind of like, you know, kind of like elitist and like, "You know, I'm better than you because I have Langlitz," or "I have Mr B," or "I have," you know, whatever else. That that can be dangerous, I find I have found that can be dangerous in the community, but it there definitely is a is a status symbol with especially with Langlitz, I've found.

Sergio Rebelo (28:34) So, the core piece of advice that I'm hearing is that start small, go slow. It doesn't necessarily matter what type of leather you buy, it doesn't have to be the best of the best. Wear what's comfortable, what you like, you know, that's the main kind of message there, yeah.

Brody (28:44) Well, exactly, exactly, sentence, yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (28:45) And I think something about you, which is like it's just kind of and don't be afraid, you know, of accessing these parts of yourself, don't be afraid of that.

Brody (28:50) Absolutely.

Sergio Rebelo (28:51) Yeah, yeah, that's what comes out very directly. Great. Is there anything else that you kind of want to say, or may have missed, before we we say goodbye?

Brody (28:58) I don't really think so. No, I think, yeah, I think we kind of covered, yeah.

Sergio Rebelo (29:02) Yeah. All right, well, fantastic, Brody. Thank you for taking the time. It's been wonderful to get to know you and know your journey into the erotic in to your erotic life.

Brody (29:08) No, of course, thank you so much for having me.

Sergio Rebelo (29:09) All good. All right, take care and maybe one day we'll get you on a on the show with some other guests, be good.

Brody (29:13) Awesome, thank you so much.

Sergio Rebelo (29:14) Okay, bye-bye.
